Message from the representative
After World War II, Japan became the world’s second-largest producer of timber resources due to the efforts of our predecessors in afforestation. However, the forestry industry declined due to prolonged economic downturn. As a result, forests are becoming neglected and deteriorated. We, together with our colleagues, must connect the efforts of past generations to the future for the sake of our children. Therefore, we explore and acquire technology globally, gather companions, and contribute to the cause.
My dream
After visiting the World Forestry Machinery Exhibition held in Austria in October 2019, I have an aim for a forestry industry that advances together with the world. We would like to not only introduce excellent forestry machinery made in Europe, but also to further develop it, in the hope of reducing the rate of accidents in the forestry industry in Japan. In Europe, forestry officials take pride in protecting the forests. My dream is to instill that pride in Japan’s forestry industry, and to bring back the brilliance of the Japanese forestry industry, just as it once was.
