The Vision of the Fourth Generation, Komoriya Keigo

The philosophy created by the fourth generation, Komoriya Keigo, embodies the following:

Forestry is not merely about exploiting the blessings of the mountains and forests; it is about nurturing the forests, receiving their blessings, and enriching both companions and the local community. The philosophy also emphasizes the need to conduct business activities while considering the Earth’s and nature’s environment.

Building on the vision of the fourth generation, we, as successors, aim to create mountains for the future of humanity through forestry. Our philosophy revolves around enhancing the value of the forest, fostering relationships with companions, the local community, and the world.

Our Work:

Forestry work is conducted throughout the year, involving the following processes to nurture the forest:

  1. Site Preparation: Clearing and preparing the site after tree harvesting to plant seedlings.
  2. Planting: Planting each seedling individually.
  3. Underbrush and Vine Cutting: Clearing weeds and unwanted vines that obstruct the growth of seedlings.
  4. Pruning: Cutting off excess or dead branches. This enhances the value of wood products by producing straight and high-quality timber. It also serves as a protective measure for the forest against diseases like insect infestations.
  5. Thinning: Cutting down trees to harvest timber and stimulate the growth of other trees.
  6. Shipping: Our company primarily ships to places such as the Ashikaga Round Timber Market and the Watarase Forest Cooperative.
